Escalade: Cadillac’s SUV Entry

Sold by General Motors’ under its luxury brand, Cadillac, the Cadillac Escalade has been designed, crafted, and manufactured as a large sports utility vehicle. This is the first ever Cadillac to enter the now popular SUV segment. It has actually came to the market back in the year 1999 as a response to German and Japanese competition as well as the Lincoln Navigator. Its major competitors include the Mercedes Benz G Class, the Mercedes Benz M Class, the BMW X5, the Lexus LX series, the Infiniti QX56, and the previously mentioned Lincoln Navigator.
Ever since hitting the market, the Cadillac Escalade has become very popular with the market especially to those people who has the knack of personalizing vehicles for its wealthy customers. The most popular customizations done to this vehicle is adding in larger wheels, increasing engine performance, and customizing the paint color and job. And because of its popularity has a luxury vehicle and as a vehicle that the rich would like to have, it has also gained reputation among car thieves as something worth taking the risk.
Taking a look at the Cadillac Escalade, it seems to be one big specially gift-wrapped package. It is a whole package of sophistication and luxurious features. This sport utility vehicle has great seats that not only has adjustable lumbar support but also another adjustable that nicely squeezes its occupant at the sides. Talk about hugging a person. The Escalade’s 10 way power driver’s eat comes with a memory feature. The buttons for the seat heaters are conveniently mounted for easy reach and use. Roominess is given in abundance. There also is a big center console that serves as a front armrest, and it also opens in a couple of different ways to reveal storage areas. There are also chrome trim highlights in the steering wheel, speaker covers and gauge cluster. A power outlet found inside the center console of this sport utility vehicle is very useful for plugging in and storing cellular phones and other accessories. Cadillac Used Cars – Looking at the XLR

Cadillac used cars like the XLR are very expensive cars to buy new, so will take a look at an earlier version of this beautiful machine that most people could afford to buy used. General Motors and Cadillac wanted to get into the luxury segment of the high end coupe market, in which such auto companies like Lexus and Mercedes were doing so well in. To compete against such vehicles like SC430 and the SL500 you’re going need your best engine and chassis to win people over. So General Motors in 2004 decided it was going to use the Corvette’s engine and some of its technology, to go head to head with these iconic brands.
Cadillac XLR used cars:
This is not a cheap car to buy brand new, you’re looking well over $100,000 dollars to take it out of the showroom and home into your garage. What makes this vehicle so popular too many people in North America is its exterior design and the power you get from that V8 engine. If there is one weakness to this vehicle it is the interior design of it, everything screams dull. There’s nice wood trim on the doors and steering wheel but nothing I haven’t seen in other luxury cars, the center console has a navigation screen to show you a GPS map and you can use the same touch screen to control various systems throughout the vehicle. You also have Am/Fm stereo, AC/heating and a CD disc changer.
The Cadillac XLR is power by a V8, 4.6-litre, 320 horsepower engine, with 320 pounds per feet of torque. It is a 5 speed transmission that you can either drive in automatic or turn a switch and do it manually. Cadillac used cars like the XLR are rear wheel drive and uses a stability and traction control system to handle any types of weather. The one neat thing I luv about this vehicle is the ability to drive it manually or automatic; it gives you that option to either take it easy or press the pedal to the medal when driving on the highway!
